Food Handler Training for Companies and Groups

Book KKM-recognised food handler training for your staff. RM50 per person, a class date that suits your team, company invoice and certificates to one address.

Companies and groups pay the same fee, RM50 per person, for our KKM-recognised food handler course. The difference is convenience: we can open a class on a date and time that suits your team, and all printed certificates are delivered together to one address. Classes can run online from anywhere in Malaysia or face-to-face.

Why does every kitchen worker need this certificate?

Under the Food Act 1983 and the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, every food handler must attend KKM-recognised food handler training and get an anti-typhoid vaccination. Under the regulations, offenders can be fined up to RM10,000 or jailed for up to 2 years.

Local councils (PBT) usually ask for the certificate and typhoid proof when you apply for or renew a premises licence. Requirements differ by council, so check with yours. For a company, one uncertified worker is enough to cause trouble during an inspection.

Who usually makes group bookings?

Hotel HR managers training new kitchen crew, kopitiam chain owners with staff across several outlets, and catering companies getting ready for the kenduri season. School canteen operators, factory canteens and cloud kitchens that hire in batches also book with us regularly.

Small groups are fine too. A family running a nasi lemak stall with three helpers can be booked in one go.

What does a company get with a group booking?

  • A date and time that fits your team. We can arrange the class around shifts, for example after the breakfast rush or on the day your outlet is closed.
  • Printed certificates sent to one address. All certificates are posted together to your office or premises, free.
  • Company invoice. We issue an invoice in your company's name for your accounts.
  • We handle the participant list. Send us the names with IC or passport numbers, and our team enters them into the system and checks spelling before class.
  • Mixed languages. Some staff can attend a Bahasa Melayu or English class while others join a Mandarin or Tamil class, depending on the schedule.
  • Foreign workers welcome. They register with a passport number and receive the same certificate as local staff.

Can the fee be claimed through HRD Corp?

Niat Murni Solutions is an HRD Corp registered training provider (ID 202503084604). Claims must be arranged through our customer service before you book, because eligibility depends on the employer's account and the type of booking. Contact us first and we will confirm if your booking can be claimed.

Can the class be held at our company premises?

In-house training at your premises may be possible, subject to trainer availability and location. Ask us with your number of participants, address and preferred dates. For most companies, an online class or a face-to-face class at our venue is quicker to arrange.

How are certificates and staff records handled?

Each participant receives a digital certificate as early as 4 hours after class, for classes that end before 6pm. Certificates are recorded in KKM's FoSIM system and do not need renewal. HR can check any certificate on our certificate verification page, which helps when local council (PBT) officers inspect your premises.

The typhoid injection is a separate requirement done at a clinic. After some face-to-face classes we can arrange on-site injections. Contact us for details.

What does HR need to prepare?

Just a list of full names, IC or passport numbers, phone numbers and the language each worker understands. If new staff are joining next month, tell us early so they can go into the next class without a separate booking.

For example, a catering company with 25 staff can split the crew into two online classes, one in Bahasa Melayu and one in Mandarin, so the kitchen is never empty on the same day.
